Father's Day displays

The museum will honor Dads with Happy Father's Day greetings from former days.

Poster cartoons of fatherly vocations and a floor scattered with tools of the trade enhance the display.

An assortment of flags from regulation to miniature size serve to honor Old Glory.

Roz Jackson, Roberta Holt, and Betty Jane Wilson will be the museum hosts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.

Statement of Purpose - Valley Falls Historical Society

The purpose of this Society shall be to bring together those people primarily interested in the history of Valley Falls and Delaware Township [Jefferson County, Kansas].
The Society's major function will be to discover and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history and this area: It's pre-history, exploration, settlement, development, and activities in peace and war; its progress in population, wealth, education, arts, transportation, business activity, and manufacturing.
It will collect such items as histories, genealogies, obituaries, biographies, reminiscences, letters, diaries, charts, surveys, church, school and cemetery records, either in the original or as copies, and material objects illustrative of life, conditions, events, and activities of the past and present.
The Society will copperate with the State Historical Society and the Jefferson County Historical Society in collecting and preserving materials of historical significance so this material may be available to those who wish that information and for those engaged in research.
