Extended Memorial Day hours at the museum

In conjunction with the Valley Falls Alumni events, the museum will be open at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28; and on Sunday, May 29, immediately following the high school reunion dinner at the Delaware Township Hall; and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, May 30.

Statement of Purpose - Valley Falls Historical Society

The purpose of this Society shall be to bring together those people primarily interested in the history of Valley Falls and Delaware Township [Jefferson County, Kansas].
The Society's major function will be to discover and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history and this area: It's pre-history, exploration, settlement, development, and activities in peace and war; its progress in population, wealth, education, arts, transportation, business activity, and manufacturing.
It will collect such items as histories, genealogies, obituaries, biographies, reminiscences, letters, diaries, charts, surveys, church, school and cemetery records, either in the original or as copies, and material objects illustrative of life, conditions, events, and activities of the past and present.
The Society will copperate with the State Historical Society and the Jefferson County Historical Society in collecting and preserving materials of historical significance so this material may be available to those who wish that information and for those engaged in research.
